Bumper Sticka

I wonder if there has ever been a statistical study of what make/model of cars have the most bumper stickers. I would guess that mini vans top the list. My reason being that mini vans are mainly driven by the Proud Parents of Honors Students. However, I feel that the Volvo station wagon was designed to hold bumper stickers. They have a spacious body area on their trunk. I don't think a Volvo has failed this hypothesis, yet. Who knows?

Some people are so desperate to put bumper stickers on their small cars that they have to be creative in their placements. There is this one chick who drives around Ithaca with a PetSmart "My Dog has Class" sticker on the frame of her driver's side door above the window. It's quite awkward, and you definitely have to tilt your head to read it and by that time you're in the middle of an accident.

My only bumper sticker, aside from the classic "college" window sticker, was from Dave and Busters; purchased with tickets from Paige's birthday party. It was promptly removed from my Honda after my father told me it was a 'red flag' for police men to pull me over.

I don't think I will put a bumper sticker on my car again. They are kinda like tatoos, impossible to remove. Unless it is magnetic. But I now own a Saturn, made of plastic.

I have come across quite a few funny bumper stickers, some unnecessary bumper stickers, some unreadable bumper stickers and some that I just don't understand.

I think am going to start that study right now. Do you encourage people to "honk" for anything? Do you still support John Kerry? Are you angry at corporations? Do you have the DMB dancer? Do you sport a rainbow? OBX? LBI?

What is your bumper sticker and where did you stick it?
